Yakama Mission Trip • June 14-22, 2024
BYG 9th – 12th graders

What: Mission trip to minister to the Yakama Nation in Washington State. We will be working with Sacred Road Ministries and Briarwood-supported missionary: Chris Granberry

When: June 14–22, 2024

Why: To have the opportunity to deepen your personal relationship with Christ by serving Him in another city and in an impoverished culture

Requirements: Desire to be exposed to ministry in another culture, openness to missions service, a servant’s heart, available for dates of the project, and orientation dates prior to the project. (Orientation dates will fall on selected Sundays in March, April, May, and June.)

Our Task: Our task will be to serve Sacred Road Ministries, helping them to take the Gospel into the Yakama Nation by ministering to the Yakama people through construction projects and a Vacation Bible School. Our team will lead daily worship and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Cost: $1400 – includes airfare to and from Seattle, WA, lodging, and most meals (spending and meal money needed for travel days and a sight-seeing day in Seattle)

How to Apply: You may complete an application and reference form online at briarwood.org/yakama. We will be accepting completed applications through November 30, 2023. Applicants who are accepted will be notified by December 14, 2023. Upon acceptance there will be a $200 nonrefundable deposit due (we will hold this check for students raising support in case they raise the full amount).
