After last week’s weather delay, Pastor Reeder will present part two from the October 1st message, “Praising God for Our Salvation Trials” from I Peter 1:3–12 in the Sunday morning at 8:00 and 10:55 a.m. services. Then at 6:00 p.m., he’ll return to Christ’s Church in Biblical Perspective with, “Gospel-Driven and Christ-Centered” using selected texts. Click here to read this Sunday’s Worship Bulletin.
Pick up some needed supplies and head for this special event, Monday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center. It’s a concert by our own Daniel Cason, joined by friends who will be singing and playing on behalf of the hurricane victims in Houston. They face a massive rebuilding effort there, and we can help with many different supplies and tools. October 22–23 are the dates…and you’ll want to make a note now to be here for this year’s conference. Our new National Missions Pastor, Joseph Franks, will be speaking in all services, and we’ll host 18 of our National Ministry Partners. They will be speaking in our Sunday Communities, as well as Glimpse Sessions during the conference. You can read a short bio on Rev. October 29 is not only Reformation Sunday, but is also the beginning of our Every Member Commitment season. On that Sunday we’ll have a convocation service for youth and adults during the Sunday School hour where we’ll see and hear how God is using our time, talent, and treasure here at Briarwood. Wednesday nights are happening nights, here at Briarwood! Plan on having dinner with us between 5:15 and 6:30 p.m., then get into a class or activity that interests you…there is something for every member of the family! Ladies, Bible studies for the fall are being held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Subjects include “The Son of David,” “I Peter,” “Lessons in Luke,” “The Book of Esther,” “Building a Marriage that Really Works,” and Precept studies on Ephesians. Men’s Bible studies for the fall meet on Monday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and Friday mornings.
