Featured Events:

Sportsman’s Blast
February 10 | Men’s Ministry

Men, bring a friend for a barbeque dinner and to hear the gospel message! Jerry Leachman, University of Alabama football player and Chaplain for Fox News, will be this year’s keynote speaker.

Briarwood’s focus this year is on personal evangelism with our 2023 theme “Project Andrew: Each One Bring One.” This is a great opportunity to act on that mission and invite non-believers to hear the Gospel at this event. Tickets are only $12 and include a BBQ dinner and entry to numerous door prizes that any outdoors-man would enjoy.

Will you commit to bringing your friends, associates, and neighbors to this special presentation of the Gospel? We would especially encourage you to invite or gift tickets to non-believing fathers and their sons.

Tickets are available in the Briarwood Bookstore or by calling 205-776-5210. For additional information go to briarwood.org/blast.

2023 GLOBAL MINISTRIES CONFERENCE
February 26 – March 5

Our annual Global Ministries Conference, entitled “Tell the Wonderful Story”, will be held February 26–March 5. We will have missionary partners participating in the conference from all over the world and will hear ministry stories from our International staff. Briarwood’s legacy of supporting and sending missionaries comes straight from our Mission Statement: “For God’s glory, Briarwood is committed to equipping Christians to worship God and to reach Birmingham to reach the world for Christ!” Our Missions team is praying that God will use this conference to encourage our missionaries, equip our members, and send even more missionaries out from Briarwood.

We are grateful to God that He has sent Dr. Sandy L. Willson, Pastor Emeritus at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee, to be our keynote speaker during our morning worship services as well as Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings. We will have ministry partner global glimpses each night beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday night and 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights following the services. Our Children’s ministry will be hosting the GLOW (Go Light Our World) conference for grades K4-6th grades.

Please be in prayer for the conference and our missionaries in preparation for this special week. May the Lord use this time to inspire, equip, and mobilize Briarwood Church on mission!

Find additional information and the conference schedule at briarwood.org/gmc.
