Children’s Ministry Director. This person will implement and oversee a complete ministry to Children including: personal ministry, program development, volunteer recruiting and development, discipling, assisting parents, and developing and participating in a shepherding plan for the church’s children. In addition, this person recruits, trains and oversees the Children’s staff team responsible for various aspects of the ministry. Senior High Ministry Director. This person will implement and oversee a complete ministry to Senior High students including: personal ministry, programming, volunteer recruiting and development, discipling, assisting parents, and developing and participating in a shepherding plan for the church’s High School students. In addition, this person is responsible for recruiting, training, and overseeing the four youth ministry staff. This position reports to the Family Pastor and ministers alongside the senior high staff. Special Connections Ministry is seeking a part-time person to work primarily on Sunday mornings from 7:45 a.m.–10:45 a.m., to care for teens and adults with autism or developmental disabilities. It may also include some Sunday nights and Wednesday nights on an as-needed basis. The care could potentially be physically demanding. The ideal candidate is someone with a love for Christ and to serve others with disabilities. They would need to have the necessary experience, training and skills to provide quality care. Communications Director. This full-time position will oversee all aspects of communications at Briarwood, to include print, broadcast, A/V and internet. Strong English language and writing skills are essential as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud software. Part-time position as office manager, facilitating communication and providing administrative support (assisting with scheduling, event planning, project management, and organizational logistics). This individual will exhibit integrity, administrative initiative, good judgment, confidentiality, strong time management skills, and flexibility. CMMA Executive Director. The Christian Medical Ministry of Alabama (CMMA) is a ministry of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, PCA. The primary responsibility of the Executive Director for CMMA is to direct, coordinate, and participate in multiplying disciples in the context of a movement which impacts the environment of the healthcare community in Birmingham, Alabama and beyond with the Gospel. Major responsibilities include providing spiritual direction to healthcare students on campus and practitioners in the community through individual discipleship and small group studies, prioritizing missions through conference/guest speakers and coordinating various trips each year, raising needed support for the ministry to function effectively, providing training and oversight to staff associates, as well as serving on the Briarwood Staff Leadership Team. The CMMA Executive Director reports directly to the Pastor of Board Directed Ministries as an extension of the Senior Pastor of Briarwood and is accountable to the Session of the church and to the Executive Board of CMMA. Music Worship Assistant. The Worship and Music Department has a full-time opening for a Worship Assistant. This position is accountable directly to the Worship Pastor and has significant public worship leadership responsibilities. Nursery Administrative Supervisor. This is a part-time job (25–30 hours) for a Briarwood Member that is interacting with parents, loving on children, and helping to support the Nursery Director with day-to-day needs. Male Senior High Youth Ministry Staff.  This full-time position will work with other youth staff to implement a complete ministry to Senior high students including: programming, personal ministry, volunteer recruiting and development, discipling, assisting parents, and shepherding over 300 senior high members of the church. This person must have a heart for both the church and the lost and be passionate about building both student and volunteer leaders.
