Director of Briarwood International Outreach Campus Ministry. The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of the gospel message and a heart for International students and visiting scholars on the campus; be skilled at evangelism, discipleship, and leading small groups; and recruiting and equipping volunteers. The individual must be organized and able to plan and execute large group activities and events. A demonstrated commitment to the local church is a must. A bachelor’s degree is necessary and a Masters is preferred. Extension Campus Director for Christian Medical Ministry. Full-time position working under Executive Director of CMMA to direct expansion of the ministry to other campuses in Alabama, as well as participate in the ministry at UAB. Administrative Assistant for Embers to a Flame. A talented and detailed leader is needed to manage the day-to-day details of Briarwood’s Church Revitalization ministry. The candidate must be a member of the church or become one. Skills needed for this 28-hour per week position include the areas of social media, publications, database and contact management, financial record-keeping, conference management, and pastoral support. Junior High Ministry Director. This person will implement and oversee a complete ministry to junior high students, including: programming, personal ministry, volunteer recruiting and development, assisting parents, and discipling and shepherding the over 150 junior high members of the church. The position will also oversee a Junior High Admin Assistant and will work under the Youth Pastor and alongside the rest of the Youth Ministry staff. Part-time Accountant. Seeking a part-time accountant, duties to include: process payroll, coordinate benefit enrollment and changes, assist in preparing W-2 and 1095-C filings, journal entry creation and entry, and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts. The ideal candidate will have: at least three years accounting experience, experience in compensation and benefits, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel (Shelby Software a plus), commitment to maintain strict confidentiality, ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, demonstrated initiative, detail-oriented, and an accounting degree preferred.
