Our 22-Week Journey Through Psalm 119

Our Lord has graciously given us a most precious life-giving gift in His Word. Somewhere near the middle of our Bible lies a song illustrating a heart that is wholly captured by the Word of God. The Psalmist’s love for Scripture and desire to know, understand, embrace and apply God’s testimonies to his life serve as a calling for each of us to pursue. Charles Spurgeon said of Psalm 119 that “we should consider the fullness, certainty, clearness, and sweetness of the word of God, since by such reflections we are likely to be stirred up to a warm affection for it.” Our desire is that the Holy Spirit would guide us as we dive into Psalm 119 to study, reflect, meditate, memorize and embrace His Word for our lives.

In order to help us accomplish this, we are asking that we join together as a church family on a journey through Psalm 119. This psalm has 22 stanzas of 8 verses based on the Hebrew alphabet, and we have set aside these last 22 weeks of 2015 to study one stanza per week. You may set aside one day per week, implement this daily or apply this Psalm however our Lord leads you.
