Children’s Advent Outreach

Briarwood participates every Christmas season in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Shoeboxes are made available beginning November 3 in the Ministries Lobby and prior to this in the Children’s Ministry Office on the second floor of the Admin building. Shoeboxes may be turned in by November 17, and you are asked to include $9 for shipping cost. If you pay the shipping online, you’ll receive a tracking label. Otherwise, you may place this in the box. Turn boxes in at the Children’s Auditorium hallway. Please, no candy or toothpaste this year. Click here to see the OCC website for more information.

Each year, Briarwood joins with Prison Fellowship to support Angel Tree, which enables children of prisoners to receive Christmas gifts. This year’s Angel Trees will be in the Ministry and Chapel Lobbies November 3 and 10, enabling you to take your Angel request on those dates and return your gifts by November 17. During the week, there is a designated cart outside the Church Receptionist office, and on Sundays, the cart is in the Worship Center Lobby.
