Loving God With All My Heart

Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:37–38, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.” Many times in today’s world we do not love the Lord our God with all of our heart. Instead of having the fruit of the spirit in our lives, such as love , joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faith and self-control, we have just the opposite. We have hatred, bitterness, depression, fear, anger, anxiety, and a lack of peace in our hearts. These sinful heart attitudes grieve the Holy Spirit in our lives and we really do not love God with all of our heart. Come to this Bible Study as we study together how to have a heart full of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faith and self-control. Our desire would be to become more like Jesus Christ, to be transformed into His image. Jesus will then give us the grace to “love the Lord our God with all of our heart.”
Meets Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Nursery is available with registration.
