August 11–13
Come hear from speakers Rosaria Butterfield and Peter Jones at this year’s Conference on Theology and Life! The Birmingham Conference on Theology and Life is Briarwood’s Conference on facing cultural and contemporary issues from a Biblical Perspective. This conference, held at Briarwood, is open to all churches, denominations, and individuals who are interested in learning how they can exchange “Gospel Truths for a World of Lies.”
This conference is completely free and open to all. No registrations are required for either Friday or Saturday’s events. Nursery will be available upon registration at briarwood.org/nursery.
We encourage you to invite friends from other congregations or walks of life to hear the truth of the Gospel proclaimed in this age of chaos, confusion, and insanity.

CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
Dr. Rosaria Butterfield
Dr. Rosaria Butterfield is an author, speaker, pastor’s wife, homeschool mom, and former professor of English and women’s studies at Syracuse University (Syracuse, NY). She is the author of several books, including The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert (Crown and Covenant, 2012), Openness Unhindered (Crown and Covenant, 2015), The Gospel Comes with a Housekey (Crossway, 2018), and Five Lies of our Anti-Christian Age (Crossway, 2023).
Dr. Peter Jones
Dr. Peter Jones is Associate Pastor at New Life Presbyterian Church (Escondido, CA), Director of truthXchange, and Scholar in Residence at Westminster Seminary, CA. Born in Liverpool, Peter attended the University of Wales, then did his graduate work at Gordon Divinity School, Harvard Divinity School, and Princeton Seminary. Dr. Jones has published numerous books including Spirit Wars (1997), Gospel Truth, Pagan Lies: Can You Tell the Difference? (2000), The God of Sex: How Worldview Determines Sexuality (2006), and Whose Rainbow: God’s Gift of Sexuality: A Divine Calling (2020).
