Delegated Session Team Nominations
This form allows you to nominate up to five Elders from each of the following classes: 2025, 2026, and 2027. If you wish to nominate more than five elders per class, please sign in again and complete a second form.
Based on the approved Motion 1, Sections 1-C and 1-D, here are the eligibility requirements:
1-C: Initially, three (3) Sessional ruling elders from the Class of 2025 will serve a one-year term, three from the Class of 2026 will serve a two-year term, and three from the Class of 2027 will serve a three-year term. Starting in 2028, all Sessional ruling elders elected to the Delegated Session Team (DST) will serve three-year terms. The Session is responsible for filling any vacancies caused by death, resignation, or removal of a DST member.
1-D: To be eligible to serve on the DST, a ruling elder must be a member of Briarwood in good standing and must have completed at least one three-year term on the Session within the past five years. The elder should demonstrate the qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and commit to the DST qualifications.
NOTE: Please speak with any elder you plan to nominate to confirm his willingness to serve before submitting his nomination. Also, any candidate for the Class of 2027 not elected on December 8 will not be eligible for the DST.
