Women’s and Children’s Counselor
Briarwood Presbyterian Church (PCA) seeks to hire a full-time Women’s and Children’s Counselor to serve our counseling ministry. She will counsel from a Reformed view of Scripture and will serve in this position as a member of our church. She will possess strong relational, organizational, and communication skills; will receive and review intake forms and assign cases to our staff and lay counselors; and will work well with our team to accomplish ministry plans and objectives. We hold to and humbly serve from a biblical counseling perspective. The qualified candidate will have earned a master’s degree in biblical counseling or the equivalent; served at least five years in a counseling/discipleship setting; and shown herself to be a skillful and winsome practitioner in our approach to counseling. Shepherding Pastor
Full Briarwood Presbyterian Church is seeking to hire a Shepherding Pastor. He will provide shepherding leadership with a team to shepherd our Church of about 4,300 members. He will shepherd around six Congregational Communities (500-600 people); serve as a Community Pastor in several Congregational Communities; lead Community Pastors; and work closely with lay shepherds. He will invest his time in the spiritual growth of members, assure pastoral care needs are met, facilitate member involvement, and the assimilation of new members. The person who would be most effective in this position would have an intrinsic love for people, have strong people skills, and is naturally engaging and approachable. He should have experience shepherding with a Church, strong leadership skills and have experience in leading volunteers. He will also be responsible for other Church ministry responsibilities as fits his gifting and the needs of the Church. He would either be ordained or ordainable in the PCA, with a commitment to Reformed theology and Presbyterian doctrine.
