Every Member Commitment
Briarwood’s Every Member Commitment is an annual event in the fall allowing church members to declare what their support in the work of the Lord with their gifts and service will be for the coming calendar year through their church.
EMC SCHEDULE
Convocation Sunday, October 26
Members are encouraged to attend the EMC Convocation in the Worship Center at 9:30 a.m.
Commitment Sunday, November 2
Pledge cards can be submitted in 4 ways:
• Online—Complete the online form
• Mail—Send to the Church Accounting Office
• In person—Bring to the Accounting Office
• In person—Bring to one of the day’s worship services
Canvass Sunday, November 9
Members who have not made a commitment or otherwise contacted the church are contacted by church officers.
Stewardship Opportunities
Dear Briarwood Member,
The Briarwood Diaconate’s Stewardship Education Committee is building a resource to help every member of our congregation better steward their time, talents, and treasures for God’s glory. With so many ministries available, it can be hard to know where to get involved, or how to avoid over-commitment.
To help new members, and those seeking to get more involved, we’re creating a comprehensive list of ministries with which our members are passionate and actively participating. This survey aims to identify the diverse ways our congregation is serving, making it easier for others to find their place and intentionally steward their gifts.
Please take a few moments to share your involvement in various ministries. We would love to hear about ministries that you are involved with both at Briarwood and in the community. Survey responses will be collected and, after approval by our pastoral team, we will create a resource of opportunities where the Lord can use each of our time, talents, and treasures. Your input will help us connect members, foster greater participation, and ultimately, bring more glory to God!
