Women’s In-Town Retreat Wrap-Up

We had over 250 women register to attend the In-Town Retreat with roughly 220 were able to join us on Friday and Saturday.  We were encouraged on Friday night by Anne Reddick’s challenge to be a student of God.  As we grow in our confidence and understanding of Him we can recognize that many of our seasons are difficult and had but we have a God who KNOWS us and  is for us.  Then Saturday, we had the opportunity to be challenged and encouraged by the 17 different sessions led by fellow Briarwood women.  The feedback we received focused on how the women were pointed to the Lord, pressed in their obedience and loved on as they walk through trying times.

This weekend could not have happened without the following:

  • Anne Reddick leading us on Friday night
  • The 22 session leaders/speakers who spoke Saturday
  • Hannah Brennan leading us in worship Friday night
  • The over 40 women who served on the prayer team, food team, check-in team, set up team, clean up team, give-away team, decorating team
  • The three Fellows who served on Saturday
  • Sherri Blahnik for our lunch
  • Christian Terrell for her cake
  • Rebecca Galbreath for the Retreat graphics
  • The AV team and Facilities Team

Now what?

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Through the In-Town Retreat our desire was that you were able to reconnect with old friends and make new friends.  Our desire was that you would be encouraged through the various sessions and teachings to press on in your relationship with the Lord.  And, our desire now is that you will continue to stir up one another to love and good works, and that you will continue to encourage one another as we journey with the Lord.
