Romans is a written systematized presentation of the doctrine of justification by faith. For our ten week study of Romans 1-8, we will be using the ROMANS acronym as our GPS guide:

Leader: Windsu Kelly, Bingham Carlson, and Cassandra Bullington
Starts: January 9 (we will finish Romans Pt. 4 in January); February 6 (we will begin 1 Samuel)
Cost: $20

As I Samuel begins the nation of Israel is at a low point spiritually. The priesthood is corrupt, idolatry is being practiced, and the nation’s judges are dishonest. We will study the lives of three notable men in God’s chosen nation of Israel at this time: Samuel, Saul and David. As we examine the lives of these three individuals, we will see the workings of God’s sovereignty in each of their lives. We will observe how their response to God’s calling on their lives impacts not only their lives personally, but it also has an impact on the nation of Israel as a whole.

Joshua
Meets: Fridays at 9:30 a.m.
Location: G-101
Leaders: Elizabeth Bondurant & Kristie Harrick
Starts: January 10

Join us as we dive into the book of Joshua. This is a book of faithfulness. Faithfulness demonstrated by the various men and women highlighted in the 25 years covered in the book. More importantly, it is a book whose great theme is that none of God’s promises fail. As Chuck Swindoll states regarding the book of Joshua, “That which Moses began and endured in the wilderness, Joshua was able to claim victoriously in the land. God’s promises through the ages were being fulfilled before the people’s eyes. ‘Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass’ (Joshua 21:45).” This semester we will be encouraged by our God’s faithfulness and challenged to respond in faithfulness as well.
