Meet the Global Ministry Partners who will be joining us for this year’s conference:

 

Imad Aubrey
Horizons International
Lebanon

Imad Aubrey is a Lebanese American minister, ordained in the PCA. In Fall 2019, after serving for almost six years as outreach pastor at Town North Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Richardson, Texas, God called Imad to go back to his home country of Lebanon to serve among the locals and refugees through Horizons International. During the COVID related pandemic of 2020, Imad discovered the need to start an online service where the number of viewers grew from 200 to 1800. After the Beirut explosion, along with the famine Lebanon is facing, Zahle ministry was founded by Pastor Aubrey with his team to serve the needy.
 
 
 
 
 


Edward Ayub
Presbyterian Church of Bangladesh
Bangladesh

After becoming a Christian in 1984, and earning a Masters of Divinity degree, Pastor Ayub has been a leader in evangelism, church planting, teaching and writing, giving birth to many Christian ministries in Bangladesh. He has translated and authored more than 40 titles into Bengali—most of which equip church planters to defend their faith. His greatest contribution is in giving birth of a Reformed denomination called Presbyterian Church of Bangladesh. He is engaged in visible church planting among the Muslims characterized by the Reformed distinctives in The Westminster Standards. Ayub develops church planting leaders for the movement that thrive in the face of persecution. His wife Jostna has been a great inspirer and she serves as a teacher. The Ayubs son, Utthan, is a Lieutenant Commander with the Bangladesh Navy.’
 
 
 
 


Andy & Carmen Castillo
World Reach
Honduras

The Castillos have served in their country for 14 years. They are passionate about the local church, sharing the gospel message, and training leaders in evangelism and discipleship. Andy is one of the pastors at Centro Familiar Cristiano and most recently the founder of Centro Asistencial de Formacion Familiar Integral, a project known as CAFFIN. This ministry project uses a holistic approach to sharing the gospel through developing four components: medical and dental care, nutrition through the One Egg a Day program in elementary schools, formal education (7th grade and up) for those without financial resources to finish school, and vocational education. The Castillos have three children: Andrew, David, and Ethan.


Andy & Brooke Cheely
Campus Outreach SERVE
International

After over 2 decades of living and working in Asia, Andy and Brooke began working with Campus Outreach (CO) SERVE in 2017 with the ultimate goal of making disciples. Andy primarily works in two areas: providing operational leadership for the organization, and coordinating special projects across the whole CO movement. Whether providing leadership in strategy, investigation of new partner locations, strengthening non-American CO staff, or preparing new CO missionaries for launch, it is all done to see laborers built on campuses for the lost world. The Cheelys have two daughters, Abigail and Esther.

John & Kathy Clow
Mission to the World
Honduras

John and Kathy serve in Honduras as Team Leaders of the La Ceiba Team and Country Coordinators of the MTW Team in Honduras. The La Ceiba Team is mainly comprised of mercy ministries (Puerta de Esperanza—girl’s home, Proyecto Pedro—street boy’s day center, Clinica Arbol de Vida—medical clinic), and theological education in the Bible Institute. The MTW team in the capitol city of Tegucigalpa has started Iglesia Presbiteriana Gracia Soberana, a church plant that will celebrate their 4-year anniversary in late spring. They support Team Honduras through leadership, providing tools and resources, member care, and whatever else is needed.

Ben & Cindy Cohen
Globeworks International Ministries
Sudan

Ben and Cindy Cohen are missionaries with Globeworks International Ministries and work primarily in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. They are committed to the simple Biblical proclamation of the Gospel and intercessory prayer. Since 2017, the Lord has used them as a conduit to take over 125,000 Bibles into Islamic Sudan.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Dave Culmer
Mission to the World
Bulgaria

Dave originally trained as a family physician, and he has served on the church-planting team in Sofia, Bulgaria since 2006 in various roles—most recently, as the team leader for the past year. Aside from his team leadership role, he has primarily served in helping plant their church in the Mladost neighborhood, in directing their summer internship, in directing short-term medical outreach teams which build up the church throughout Bulgaria, and in various other roles associated with evangelism and outreach. He enjoys building relationships with non-believers to share the Gospel and discipling other believing men.

Charles & Carol DeWitt
Mission to the World
Spain

The DeWitts help nationals start new churches in Madrid. Through personal evangelism, discipleship, teaching, and preaching, they equip and empower national leaders to reach the Spanish people with the gospel. Their work is “in the trenches,” meeting with people individually to help them come to faith. Over the past 5 years they have labored to launch two new churches and to bring revitalization to a third church. In addition, Carol has organized a women’s evangelistic book club and leads a prayer ministry; and Charles has trained men to preach and also helped lead a Spanish church planting movement.

Mehrdad Fatehi
Pars Theological Centre
Iran

Rev. Dr. Mehrdad Fatehi, the Founder and Executive Director of Pars, is a BMB who served as a pastor and Bible teacher in Iran till the late 80s. He has a BSc in Electronics, a BA in Theology, a post-graduate Diploma in Linguistics & Bible Translation, an MA in Hermeneutics, and a PhD in New Testament from London School of Theology, where he is currently a Research Fellow. Mehrdad initiated the NMV Farsi Bible translation through a joint project by Elam Ministries and Wycliffe, and served for 19 years as its Coordinator, Exegetical Advisor, and Chief Editor till its completion in 2014. He also served for 10 years as the Academic Dean of Elam College till its closure in 2008 and taught theology to Iranian church leaders throughout the Diaspora. He was the Senior Pastor at the Iranian Christian Fellowship, London, from 2013-2016. He is the author of 3 books and over 35 published articles. He has also translated 7 theological textbooks.


Mike Kuhn
World Outreach
Middle East & North Africa

Mike serves with the International Theological Education Network (ITEN) as a trainer and teacher. His work focuses on discipling leaders among Muslim people. He often teaches in the areas of Muslim-Christian relations, focusing on the tough theological issues on which Muslims and Christians disagree, including the Trinity and the understanding of Christ as both human and divine. Mike has taught recently in Sudan and Ethiopia. He has also been active in Syria and Iraq. Mike speaks Arabic fluently. He enjoys equipping evangelicals in apologetics here in the US and overseas. Davor & Sandra Kukec
Cru
Croatia

Davor and Sandra are Croatian nationals reaching and training families in Eastern Europe. They have been serving with CRU since 2001. They often speak on television and radio, lead conferences, and lead outreaches to teach and evangelize using marriage topics as a bridge to reach people. For the last five years, their focus was WIN, BUILD, SEND strategy—reaching couples, equipping them with practical training in evangelism and discipleship, and sending them to serve in their communities. The Kukecs have two adult sons, Matej (22) and Luka (19).

Steve & Sherri Letchford
Serving in Mission
Kenya

Steve and Sherri are gospel-focused healthcare professionals based at Kijabe Hospital, Kenya who have been a part of the African church’s ministry for 22 years. They are passionate about young healthcare professionals knowing Christ and making Him known in vulnerable communities. Sherri is a physical therapist serving as Serving in Mission’s (SIM) interim Regional Director for East and Central Africa. Steve leads SIM’s Banda Health project, reaching and empowering healthcare providers in East Africa’s slums and villages. They continue to be involved with training, mentoring, and support at Kijabe Hospital. The Letchfords have four adult kids, two in-law kids, and three granddaughters.

 


Jack & Misty Lindsey
Navigators
International

Misty and Jack serve with the Navigator ministry reaching international students and refugees in the United States. Having been discipled through the ministry of Campus Outreach they served overseas in Kazakhstan and Puerto Rico. They are currently ministering to Slavic and Arabic cultures through relief, outreach, discipleship and leadership training in Jacksonville, Florida. More specifically, Jack is mentoring several men from Russian and Spanish-speaking countries in how to share their faith and make disciples. Jack and Misty have also been building relationships with Iraqi and Syrian families and sharing Jesus with them. Please continue to pray as we intentionally invest in reaching the “Nations Within.”


Andrew & Helen Macpherson
Grace Presbyterian Church
New Zealand

Andrew and Helen Macpherson are currently church planting in the city of Tauranga New Zealand. As an experienced church planter, this is Andrew’s third church plant with the Grace Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. Tauranga, which means “safe anchorage”, is a coastal city of about 170,000 people. During summer, it is a popular holiday destination due to its beaches and warm climate. The church was planted nearly one year ago just before the outbreak of Covid 19. Nevertheless, the new church has enjoyed blessing and growth. Andrew is thankful for the committed partnership of Briarwood over the years of his time planting churches in New Zealand. The Macphersons have three children and enjoy eight grandchildren.

Confex & Mwai Makhalira
Mission to the World
Malawi

Confex and Mwai Makhalira and their two daughters, Evangeline and Eliana, serve with Mission to the World. They are planting Christ Presbyterian Church in Blantyre, Malawi. The greatest need in Malawi right now is sound churches that are faithfully proclaiming the gospel of Christ and grounding people in Christ and His Word. They are committed to equipping disciples through the ordinary means of grace. The vision of Christ Presbyterian Church is to become a church-planting church that will plant other biblically faithful churches across Malawi.

 


Coby & Pamela McGinty
Mission to the World
South Africa

Coby and Pamela serve with MTW at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa. UCT is the number one ranked university in Africa, with over 20,000 students from over 100 nations. Their Reformed evangelical Christian student ministry involves evangelism, teaching Bible studies and practical life skills, discipling and counseling, leadership development, and hospitality. The diverse students of UCT face severe challenges negotiating the normal transitions of university life amidst the cultural, economic, social and personal trials they face in South Africa. The McGintys apply the gospel of grace through Christ alone in the lives of students they lead who are the future leaders of Africa.

Carl & Kathy Most
Caribbean Ministries Association
Cuba

Carl and Kathy are based in Chattanooga, Tennessee and have focused on serving in Cuba since 2013. As a couple they have a priority and passion for the Christ-centered life. Along with Caribbean Ministries Association, they have a two-fold ministry focus of Leadership Training and Soul Care. They highly value teamwork and love nothing more than equipping and encouraging national church leaders for life on mission. Following Christ’s example, they seek to teach the Word of God and live by example to inspire others in making the least, last, lost, and lonely their priority. They are trusting the Gospel to bring hope and life in the most difficult places of society. The Mosts have two grown sons.

Ben & Jenny Roberts
World Gospel Mission
Kenya

Ben and Jenny Roberts, along with their 3 sons, Luke, Isaac, and Nate, live and serve at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya. They first went to Tenwek in 1998 when Ben was a senior medical student. After completing a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery, Ben and his family moved to Kenya to serve as missionaries in 2006 where their family motto is “Sharing the Light, restoring vision.” Their passion is to share light to those who sit in darkness from either physical or spiritual blindness. Physically, Ben shares light through educating national trainees, providing treatments, and performing sight-restoring surgeries to those suffering from eye diseases. Their eye team also travels to remote parts of East Africa to share this Light and restore vision with others beyond the hospital’s reach. Spiritually, they share the Hope of Jesus through Bible Storying to patients, discipleship with the eye staff, and children’s ministry.

Matt & Deborah Stanghelle
Ministry to the Military and Internationals
Norway

Matt and Deborah lead a team of Norwegians and internationals to plant the Presbyterian Church in Norway. They are committed to establishing healthy, Christ-centered churches through the ordinary means of expository preaching, biblical worship, and devoting themselves to prayer, discipleship, and evangelism. The Stanghelles live in Stavanger, Norway, where they are planting First Presbyterian Church of Norway, an international mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America. Stavanger is a global city, home to NATO’s joint warfare center and an international oil industry. Their team is also translating the Westminster Standards into Norwegian for the first known time in history.


Tony & Mickie West
But God Ministries
Haiti

Tony and Mickie West surrendered to the call to missions in 2011 and moved to the remote village of Galette Chambon, Haiti, to build a sustainable community for native Haitians who live in extremely poor conditions. Tony serves as the primary health care provider and administrator at Hope Center Medical Clinic for a population of 25,000 people and leads a team of approximately 25 Hope Center employees. Mickie serves as hostess to visiting missions teams, helps her husband manage daily operations, serves as patient advocate for people who need advanced health care, and serves as administrator of the But God Ministries Schools and Child Sponsorship package. The Wests have two grown sons.

Kyle & Becky Zimmerle
YWAM
Kyrgyzstan

Kyle and Becky Zimmerle have been serving God in Central Asia for almost 30 years. In the early 90’s they started one of the first ethnic Uzbekistan churches which is still going strong! They pioneered ministries in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan working with special needs orphans and children. They have 11 children and started foster care for disabled orphans in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Working with local believers and the government in Kyrgyzstan, they pioneered the first physical therapy (therapeutic horse riding) and education programs in the country. One of their passions is to help the local church meet the needs of these special children and develop their own ministries. Their ultimate goal is to equip the local church to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of children that have been rejected, abandoned, and forgotten by their families and society.

Jackie
World Outreach
Indonesia

Jackie serves as the director of women’s ministry at a church plant in Indonesia and has a heart to reach people of the majority religion in her city with the gospel. Since her move in 2016, the church has grown from a small group of 40 people to a thriving church of over 400. Despite the challenges of COVID, more people are coming to know the Father. For example, in the women’s ministry department alone, the weekly Bible studies have grown from 2 groups to 17 groups in this past year! Jackie is currently working together with a team of Indonesian believers to prayerfully plant a second church in 2021.
 
 
 
 


Micah & Blair
Southeast Asia

Micah and Blair have served alongside the local church in their city in Southeast Asia for 7 years. Their goal is raising up more laborers for the harvest in the church in Asia. Their PCA team has partnered with a local Presbyterian church with a common vision to proclaim Christ, even to those who are most difficult to reach in the country. Micah is called to preach the gospel and establish a healthy church that is faithful to the Word of God. They are praying and training with the hope that God will use this church to reach Muslim peoples with the gospel. Blair is involved in counseling and women’s ministry but is primarily focused on homeschooling and caring for their four children.


Habib & Zinah
Avant Ministries

Habib and Zinah serve on an Arabic media ministry outreach of Avant Ministries. Habib is a middle-easterner from a cultural Christian background who came to know Jesus in a personal way as a young adult. Zinah is a Muslim-background believer who came to faith through media and Bible correspondence courses while still in North Africa. They met at an Arabic fellowship in Belgium and were married. They use social media, video, and the web to begin spiritual conversations with North Africans and connect seekers with local underground churches.

 


Sam and Karla
Avant Ministries
Spain

Sam grew up in North Africa as a missionary kid, while on the other side of the world his future wife, Karla, was being raised by her church-planting parents on the Caribbean island of Dominica. They have been missionaries for over 20 years in France, North Africa, and now Spain. After many years using Christian Arabic media to reach into North Africa, Sam now spends much of his time teaching and mentoring younger missionaries interested in the Arab world. Sam and Karla also provide member care for missionaries in their region and help lead a local church plant on the southern coast of Spain.
