Sunday, July 12 from 3:00–7:00 p.m. Briarwood will experience our first “Nehemiah Day.” A time for coming together to hear, read, understand and apply the Word of God to our lives. Men’s summer’s studies, titled “Re-creating Your Mind in a Crazy Culture” are now underway, meeting at 11:45 a.m. on Mondays at Moe’s BBQ on Southside, and at 6:30 a.m. Wednesdays in the Fellowship Hall. Coffee, juice and snacks will be available in the early morning meeting. It’s not too late to join us! As the August 14–16 event approaches, Briarwood will be hosting two lead-up events. First, a city-wide prayer gathering will be held on Sunday, July 19 at 6:00 p.m. Then Tuesday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m., a student prayer rally will be held at The Barn. Men and women are invited to an Inductive Bible Study Marathon, Saturday, August 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Marathon will use Precept Ministries 40 Minute Study, Living Victoriously in Difficult Times. Click here for more information.
Hurry! Now through July 25, Camp Briarwood is making summer memories for kids entering grades 1–8 in the fall. Space is still available in remaining camps! For over 50 years Camp Briarwood has been helping children grow in their relationship with God and others. Here it comes again…the popular Briarwood Flea Market, conducted by the Women of the Covenant Ministry. The 7th annual staging of the event will be Friday, July 24 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 25 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., and there are opportunities to serve in many different capacities.
