Raiders (Jr. High)

MISSION STATEMENT

For God’s glory, Raiders desires to be a discipling instrument to assist parents in the process of equipping our junior high students to worship God and to reach Birmingham to reach the world for Christ.

VISION VERSE

Colossians 2:2 – My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

The Raiders Sunday School consists of a time of fellowship and teaching. For teaching, the large group is divided into four smaller groups based upon gender and grade. Topics range from book studies, doctrinal studies to inductive studies. Sunday mornings at 9:25 a.m. in E-313.

RAIDERS ‘N FOCUS/SMALL GROUPS – SUNDAYS

Students meet in The Barn at 6:00 for fellowship, skits, praise and worship, and then are split up for accountability, discussion, and prayer with a trained small group leader. If your child can only be involved in one area of Raiders then this is it! Students are asked to bring their Bibles. Snacks are provided.

RAIDERS – WEDNESDAYS

Our weekly Wednesday program centers on building a junior high community in which Jesus Christ is exalted. The program consists of biblical teaching, games, skits, as well as relationship building. We meet from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in The Barn.

ONE-ON-ONE TIME

Based upon the availability of the students, staff, and volunteers, time is spent building relationships with the students.
